This policy explains how Parallel Dynamic Limited handles personal information in connection with paralleldynamic.com. The website is a simple information site with an enquiry form. It has no user accounts, comments, newsletters or advertising.
Who we are
Parallel Dynamic Limited is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (company number 09229727), with its registered office at Office 5 Enterprise House, Foundry Lane, Horsham, RH13 5PX, United Kingdom. For any privacy question or request, use the enquiry form on our home page, send us a message through our LinkedIn page, or write to our registered office.
The enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, company (if you give it) and your message. The form sends these to our business email inbox, which is hosted by Microsoft 365; the website itself does not keep a copy. Submissions may be checked automatically for spam.
We use these details only to reply to your enquiry and, if we go on to work together, to manage that relationship. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not add you to any mailing list. Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within two years of our last contact; records relating to client work are kept only as long as needed for that work and to meet UK legal and tax obligations.
If you contact us through LinkedIn instead, LinkedIn handles your message under its own privacy policy.
Visiting the website
Like any website, ours cannot be delivered without some technical information passing between your browser and the servers involved. When you visit:
- Our hosting provider, WordPress.com (Automattic Inc.), receives your IP address and browser details, keeps standard server logs for security, and produces anonymous visitor statistics for us. We only see aggregated figures, not who you are. See Automattic’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts supplies the website’s typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. See Google’s privacy policy.
Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. Automattic, Google and Microsoft may process data outside the UK, for example in the United States; such transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK–US data bridge) or approved contractual safeguards.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. WordPress.com may set cookies needed to deliver the site and to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See Automattic’s cookie policy.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask whether we hold any personal information about you, and ask us to give you a copy, correct it, delete it or stop using it. Contact us as described above and we will respond within one month. We never sell personal information or use it for advertising. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
